단경간 장대 현수교의 플러터 특성

Since the coupled flutter instability may lead to the collapse of the stiffened girder, its stabilization is the most important issue for the feasibility of long-span suspension bridges. Not only two dimensional section model tests on bimodal system but also the precise understanding on the generation mechanism of multi-mode coupled flutter instability is indispensible in order to effectively stabilize this divergent type vibration. In this study, the characteristics of coupled flutter instability in a single span suspension bridge are investigated from the viewpoints of the section model tests and the aeroelastic energy acting on stiffened girder, which is closely related to the flutter generation mechanism.
