Parallel Finite-Element Analysis of Rotating Machines Based on Domain Decomposition Considering Nonconforming Mesh Connection

This paper investigates the effectiveness of a parallel finite-element method based on a domain decomposition method taking account of nonconforming mesh connection between moving and fixed parts in magnetic field analyses of rotating machines. Numerical results of interbar current analyses in a cage induction motor that verify the effectiveness of the proposed method are presented.
