Convergencia en capital humano en España. Un análisis regional para el periodo 1970-2004

Este trabajo evalua los cambios producidos en los niveles de Capital Humano de las Comunidades Autonomas espanolas, con el objetivo de contrastar si se ha producido un proceso de convergencia entre ellas. Para ello se han utilizado datos procedentes del Banco de Datos de Capital Humano elaborado por el IVIE y la Fundacion Bancaja que abarcan un amplio periodo temporal (1970 ? 2004), para construir series que recogen el porcentaje de poblacion que ha concluido cada nivel de estudios. El analisis se realizara aplicando a dichas series los metodos clasicos de beta y sigma convergencia para cada nivel educativo en todo el intervalo, asi como en diferentes subperiodos considerados interesantes dada la evolucion del sistema educativo espanol. El estudio se completara con un estudio de beta convergencia condicional para comprobar si las diferentes formas de acceder a la autonomia y los momentos en que las Comunidades Autonomas han accedido a las competencias en cada uno de los niveles educativos, han influido de alguna manera en dicho proceso de convergencia.
