How to Enhance Cost Control for Hotel Renovation Project in Investment Decision-Making and Design Phases

Renovation project cost control is considered throughout the project stages including investment decision,design process,construction work and final accounting.Among these phases,investment decision and design process are the most critical stages.Hotel renovation project is mostly restricted by the factors such as existing building,structure,actual work site conditions,project time constraint and investment limits.These factors can create significant difficulties in design,construction,cost control and other major renovation activities.The major features and major problems met in the recent YY hotel renovation project have given the author important experiences in effective implementation of cost control at key stages.The purpose of this article is to share such experiences with our colleagues.
