Choosing the correct walking aid for patients

Family physicians often see elderly patients sporting various assistive walking devices while visiting the office. A trip to the neighbourhood drugstore will often show an array of canes, crutches, and walkers of various materials, shapes, and sizes. The simplest device is a cane, popular because of
