Strain, Pressure, Temperature, Proximity, and Tactile Sensors From Biopolymer Composites

Abstract The ultimate biodegradability and eco-friendly usage have made the biocomposite materials applicable in almost every area of science, technology, and industry. Sensors are a prominent field of electronics and many composites are being used as potential sensors. This chapter is aimed to have a brief understanding of the various biocomposite materials and their applicability in manufacturing pressure, strain, and temperature sensors. In addition to these environmental stimuli, proximity and tactile sensors made from biocomposites will also be investigated.
