Basic principles of compression therapy

Kompresjoterapia jest jedną z najskuteczniejszych metod profilaktyki oraz leczenia przewlekłych zaburzeń żylnych i owrzodzeń we wszystkich stopniach zaawansowania. Liczne badania dotyczące kompresjoterapii jednoznacznie potwierdzają jej dużą skuteczność. Pozytywna ocena dotyczy zarówno pończoch, jak i wielowarstwowych systemów kompresyjnych stosowanych w leczeniu owrzodzeń żylnych. W artykule przedstawiono wybrane podstawowe zasady (ciśnienie międzypowierzchniowe, prawo Laplace’a) zastosowania kompresjoterapii w profilaktyce oraz w leczeniu przewlekłych zaburzeń żylnych i owrzodzeń.
