A Method of Unit Modeling Oriented HAZOP Analysis Based on SDG

Signed Directed Graph (SDG) is an important technology of building qualitative model, especially for hazard evaluation and fault diagnosis. Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) analysis is the most widely used safety analysis approach in the process systems. There are natural relations between HAZOP and SDG. The computer-aided automatical HAZOP analysis is put forward by using SDG model and the reasoning method based on network theory. HAZOP analysis system based on the ratiocination of SDG instead of the manual HAZOP is introduced. Representative unit models are built in the process systems. As process model is built by unit models in the model base, the system is very adaptive. Besides it has beyond compare inheritance. Compared with the manual HAZOP analysis, the system has many advantages, such as good maturity, time saving, money saving and so on.
