Developing an MPPT Controller for an Off-Grid Photovoltaic Generator Feeding a 3 Phased Asynchronous Machine

In order to guarantee a good coupling between the various parts of the system, attention must be paid to the implementation of an MPPT controller to ensure maximum power operation of the photovoltaic generator. Thus, the most used control techniques in MPPT control, such as Perturb and Observ technique (P&O) and Incrémentation of Conductance (IC), are reviewed and studied in order to guarantee better performance of the photovoltaic system in study. Results obtained with the two experiences: when the load is a simple resistive load and when the asynchronous machine is coupled to the generator; show that the conductance incrémentation technique has better influence on system performances in terms of both power generation and rotor speed of the machine.
