Wireless-based Remote Monitoring and Diagnosis System for Wind Turbines

Because wind turbines are scattered in a widely distributed area,and will be established in the sea in the future,this situation will cause on-line monitoring system for wind turbines to have to deal with the issues of long communication distance,many communication nodes and difficulties to establish a communication network.This paper proposes a wireless-based remote monitoring and diagnosis system,and introduces the whole system architecture,data acquisition functions for both monitoring and diagnosis,wireless transmission scheme for second level network configuration,working mode and realization scheme for remote diagnosis based on database and virtual instruments.
