Los Institutos Tecnológicos en el Sistema de Innovación Regional Valenciano. Propuesta de un modelo contingente de estrategia y desempeño

Research Technology Organizations or RTOs are positioned in Spain within the variety of specialized agents in providing R&D services for industry. Their role in National Innovation Systems as technology transfer agents for companies, have attracted academic interest in the last decade. The aim of this research is to develop a contingent model linking organizational and contextual variables in relation to its innovative performance and technology trans- fer to SMEs. This research has been based on a study of fourteen Technology Institutes of the Valencian Community, serving various industries. The objective was to establish an adaptive relationship between industry environment, stra- tegy, organizational structure and other factors that influence the process of technology transfer to SMEs.
