Zur Konstruktion dauerfester Massiukäfige für Zylinderrollenlager in Schienenfahrzeugen

Sections of single-part and two-part solid cages in cylindrical roller bearings, which are especially liable to fatigue failure, can be found above all in ring-web joints. Design-related geometric notches are attributed to plane notch models. The quantitative determination of notch effects is by a new concept developed by Neuber. Compared to spatial and plane FEM calculations, the computational effort can be reduced considerably. It is already at the design stage that data is available that can be used to optimize the configuration of cages and determine the theoretical load-carrying capacity thereof
