Quadtree decomposition for palm print feature representation in palmprint recognition system

The evidential value of palm print recognition is hypothesized to be best biometric system in recent years. The palm print based biometric system is widely used in many access control and forensic applications. Although the study of palm print recognition has a shorter history than other biometric technologies, more attention has been directed towards this promising field in recent years. In this paper, an enhanced approach for palmprint feature representation based on the regional recursive hierarchical decomposition using quadtree is proposed.
