Online labs in Portugal: (pt.)lab2go

The role of laboratory experiments is fundamental in engineering education instruction. The use of Information Technologies enhances different possibilities and much interest has been generated around online labs, allowing students, technicians and engineers to interact with online experiments in higher education, in lifelong education, in industrial training, in industrial activities or even in making available very sophisticated equipment or new resources for developing countries. The Portuguese version of lab2go web platform, pt.lab2go, is a consortium recently created for fostering the national potential in online labs.
