Blending of implicit surfaces with functional splines

Abstract Functional splines, as introduced by Li, Hoschek and Hartmann, are used for blening implicit surfaces. A general algorithm uses plane G2-functional splines which join the given surfaces G2-continuously. In special cases the equations of the transition surfaces can be evaluated and the transitions are G2-continuous.
