An Intelligent and Collaborative Substation Inspection System

Automatic substation inspection as an effective means to ensure the secure and stable running of substation equipment, has become one of the important research areas. However, the current automatic substation inspection can not discover the abnormal state in time and some of its analyses do not meet the needs of practical applications, since the collected data by sensors can not be analysed instantly and not comprehensively reflect the equipment status. To this end, this paper proposes an Intelligent and Collaborative Substation Inspection System, which includes an intelligent sensing unit and the collaborative inspection robot. The intelligent sensing unit is designed as an transmission and intelligent analysis hub of sensors, which can help the substation inspection system discover the abnormal condition of the substation facilities in time. The collaborative inspection robot have the capability to interact with intelligent sensing unit and sensors to collect substation device status information, and make intelligent analysis. Furthermore, an intelligent collaboration method is proposed, which includes the robot-sensor data collection, the intelligent robot-sensor communication and interaction mechanism, to achieve in collecting substation equipment status comprehensively so as to further promote the accuracy of intelligent patrol inspection.
