Composition of the Root Oil of Annona squamosa L. from Brazil

ABSTRACT The essential oil from roots of Annona squamosa L. was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The major constituents found were β-caryophyllene (40.03%), α-pinene (8.07%), α-humulene (7.77%) and α-gurjunene (7.64%).
