CT Reprojection Polychromaticity Correction for Three Attenuators

This paper compares the effectiveness, flexibility and speed of two CT reprojection polychromaticity algorithms generalized to scans involving three attenuators. Specifically, we address the problem of beam hardening in CT scans of water and bone taken by xray beams traversing varying amounts of aluminum prefiltration. The two methods are roughly equivalent in effectiveness. One has the advantage of generality; the other, the advantage of speed.
