Process optimization of panel stamping based on integrated design

Aiming at the shortage of the orthogonal experimental design, the integrated design method was proposed combining the orthogonal experimental design and response surface model(equal-diameter design).Taking the stamping drawing process of the automobile panel-liftgate as an example, stamping process was optimized. Six factors were selected:draw-bead,friction (die and blank, punch and blank),binder force, clearance between punch and die, drawing velocity.Every factor was set to three levels. The integrated design was done by setting the minimum rate of thinning as the quality evaluation criteria. With the design, the effect of various parameters on the the minimum rate of thinning was studied ,and the optimal critical parameters were obtained. The feasibility and practicability of the method were proved by numerical simulation with the optimal value.
