A Web-Based Intelligent Tutoring System For Instruction in a Control System Laboratory

Abstract The development of a web-based multimedia intelligent tutoring system (ITS) for instruction in a control system laboratory is reported. ITS is intended to overcome some of the existing shortcomings of traditional instruction in a laboratory. The developed system provides a vivid user interface with rich instructional environments through hypermedia including animation and video streaming. The overall structure of the developed ITS is outlined and its major features are described.
