Reshaping process safety regulations

This article will address the potential, continued evolution of federal process safety regulations. Pertinent initiatives will be reviewed, with consideration of their history and current status, what is at stake for industry, and a best guess as to what is likely to happen in the near-term. In addition, the September 11 2001 terrorist acts have catalyzed action by federal agencies and industry group to deal with the threat, and Congress is considering legislation dealing with chemical plant security.
