Wearable emotion sensor on flexible substrate for mobile health applications

The flexible Bluetooth emotion sensor is a compact, wireless skin conductance sensor used to monitor the body's emotional regulation process. Many other devices have already been developed for the same purpose; however, this design implements a flexible PCB that conforms to the shape of the user's dominant hand. The custom fit, combined with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and small battery size make this device ideal for wearable applications. Wearable biofeedback devices are used in clinical and psychological research, usability testing, human-machine interface, and many other applications. The device displays real-time data on any android phone running Android 4.4 (KitKat) or later and saves the data directly to the phone's internal storage for display. The next generation emotion sensor is being developed to be more compact, use less power, and integrated with another platform such as a smart textile.
