Dynamic voltage control by remote voltage regulation for pumped storage plants
暂无分享,去创建一个
The authors present a novel application in dynamic voltage control based on an older method of voltage regulation. The resulting method is suitable for adoption in multiunit pumped storage plants. Inherent operation characteristics of pumped storage plants in the pumping mode can create visible load rejection overvoltages on the transmission and the nearby distribution networks and cause customer complaints. In the proposed method, the online units' excitation system impedance compensators are utilized to reduce the magnitude of these overvoltages. The authors present the theoretical background of the method, computer simulation results, and field-test results from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Helms Pumped Storage Plant. >
