Almost all automatic transmissions utilize the hydraulic power in changing gears and as the performance requirement of the automatic transmission has become more rigorous in recent years, there is trend toward the application of electrohydraulic control systems to improve shift quality during gear shift. In that TCU control algorithm should be developed based on the dynamic characteristics of pressure control system, it is important to ensure the good control performance and stability of the hydraulic systems. This paper deals with the sensitivity analysis for variations of design parameters relevant to pressure control system which consists of electrically operated solenoid valve and reducing type valve. From the sensitivity analysis result, sensitivity function and the difference in the lowest eigenvalue could be a measure of sensitivity of the system's response to a parameter variations. Computer simulations for nonlinear pressure control system are also performed to prove the validitY of the linear system analysis result.
