Experiment and CFD Analysis of the Hydrodynamic Characteristics of the ARBT2300 Propulsor

This paper discussed the CFD and experiment hydrodynamic characteristics results of a ARBT2300 type propulsor,which is designed by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Company Limited for dynamic positioning application of a 2×2000T vessel.The reason for the error between CFD and experiment is analyzed.Based on the CFD and experiment results,the continued research contents and attention of the propulsion control application is pointed out for dynamic positioning application.
