Dimensionless versus Dimensional Analysis in CFD and Heat Transfer

Students in engineering and science are often exposed early in their studies to non dimensional analysis. This is particularly true in the areas of uid mechanics and heat trans- fer where most experimental correlations are expressed in terms of non dimensional groups and many numerical analysis involve the so- lution of non dimensional equations.
