Design of Automatic Programming Controller Based on Milling Feature

An automatic programming controller system based on the milling processing feature was proposed in this paper. Firstly, through the analysis of milling feature and the relationship of that, a part milling machining feature model is established. Secondly, on this basis, the article introduced the XML files technology into the automatic programming system and designed structure of XML files for storing parts process and shape feature information. At last, this paper sets up the automatic programming controller system composed of the human-machine interface module; XML files access module and NC program algorithm module. The advantage of the controller is easy to maintain and upgrade and there is a certain practicality in machining.
