This article briefly describes the multi response plasticity theory, and the use of the theory to simulate the behaviour of rock under cyclical loading. Strains under cyclic loading, and the plastic and elastic response of rocks are all illustrated. The results are compared with those obtained by triaxial tests under cyclic loading for funyu-tuff rock. (TRRL)
