Educational Thinking on the Subject of Foreign Language in Schools

In China,foreign language teaching in both theory and practice has changed from teaching-centredness to learning-centredness in terms of its focus and has gone beyond the context of linguistics and adopted an educational paradigm in terms of its perspective.Also,the objective of the subject of foreign language has shifted from mere focus-on learners' language acquisition to the promotion of individual development through language learning.Foreign language as an educational tool is intended to cultivate talents in the process of the target language teaching and learning with language acquisition by learners as its overt goal and with laying a solid foundation for learners' overall and sustainable development as its primary goal.
