Design of robust adaptive regulators for large-scale systems

This paper presents a new robust adaptive control scheme to solve the regulation problem of large-scale systems. We consider linear large-scale systems which can be decomposed into single-input single-output interconnected subsystems, with unknown and/or slowly time-varying parameters, and described by discrete state-space models. We propose a decentralized and partially decentralized regulators on the basis of the state-feedback approach. Sufficient conditions, under which the overall system can be asymptotically regulated, are established by utilizing the Lyapunov function. The performance of the developed results is evaluated by numerical simulation.
