Robust Control of an Adaptive Optics System Using H ∞ Method

Adaptive optics systems are utilized in systems, which require the real-time correction of blurred images and have applications in astronomical imaging, free-space optical communications and high-energy laser beam guidance. This paper discusses the proposed design for an adaptive optics system that utilizes modern Ht8 control theory to optimize the design of this multivariable control system in terms of the stability and performance robustness of the overall system.
