Studies of the corrosion of network water heaters at a cogeneration power station and ways for reducing it

The results of an inspection of damage to the tube bundles in horizontal network heaters PSG- 1 and PSG-2 for the T-250/300-23.5 turbines manufactured by TMZ at cogeneration power station TETs-22 of OAO Mosenergo are presented. It was discovered that, in most cases, the cracks originate on the outside of the tubes; the damage in nature amounts to intercrystalline chloride cracking. In the course of operation, primary moisture with an elevated content of corrosive admixtures can form. It is recommended to use octadecylamine for reducing the vulnerability to damage of the tubes in the horizontal network heater.
