Real-time digital image stabilization system based on DSP&CPLD

In order to realize digital image stabilization in real-time processing,a image processing system with TI C6416 DSP is designed. In this system, two dual-port RAM chips are used as the input and output cache for high data transferring, and a CPLD chip is responsible for the core logic controlling and video synchronous. The inter chip cache is configured in an efficient way, preparation data are loaded into cache before processing,EDMA is used for data transferring between SRAM and dual-port RAM.The QDMA is used for 2D data transferring to 1D into chip cache, and intrinsic functions and pipeline stream technologies are discussed for software optimization at last, which accelerate algorithms executing. All this together,real-time digital image stabilization was realized.
