Enhancement of four-wave mixing in a tapered core fiber with uniform chromatic dispersion

We have described a tapered core fiber with uniform chromatic dispersion along its length. High FWM efficiency was obtained when the input power was the same as the SBS threshold power (12 dBm). This fiber is useful for wavelength conversion.
