Reducing energy consumption and environmental protection have become well known because of the global climate change and environmental pollution, along with the increasingly tense situation of world energy. Construction activities has always been one of the greatest impact on energy and environmental among other human activities. Other developed countries have also developed a self-evaluation system of green building since the UK introduced the BREEAM in 1990. Green building has become the inevitable trend of future development. China has also followed the footsteps of the world, and announced a `Evaluation standard for green building` in 2006, which made its formal entry into green building.
