Silicon Photonics for 5G Communications

We have proposed a silicon photonic framework in 5G optical access network. Silicon photonic integrated circuits are applied to various subsystems, including central office, remote node and optical network unit, to play versatile roles, such as single side-band generation, 5G service overlay, optical signal demultiplexing, and remodulation.
