American Art Therapy Association, Inc.: 2001-2002 Membership Survey Report

The American Art Therapy Association, Inc. (AATA) surveys its members biennially in order to obtain general information about current AATA members. These surveys include demographic data, work status, and various other features. The current survey also included items regarding Continuing Education Credits and the use of CPT codes for billing. Approximately 5,639 survey forms were mailed from the AATA National Office and 1,176 were returned, resulting in a 20.9% return rate. The results of the survey presented in this report provide a general overview and graphic representations of a sample of 2001-2002 AATA members. Longitudinal trends are also discussed to more accurately project developments relative to AATA members and, more importantly, the field of art therapy in general.
