Prosthetic rehabilitation of a patient with tongue cancer using palatal augmentation prosthesis and mandibular implant-retained overdenture: A case report

혀 절제술 및 유리피판술을 시행한 이후 혀의 해부학적 문제와 기능 저하가 발생하게 되며, 이를 개선하기 위해 구개 증대 보철 물(palatal augmentataion prosthesis)이나 하악-혀 보철물(mandibular tongue prosthesis)이 필요하다. 완전 혀 절제술을 시행 한 경우에는 하악-혀 보철물을 선택하며 부분 혀 절제술을 시행 했거나 무치악 환자, 흡수된 하악 치조골을 가진 환자의 경우에 는 구개 증대 보철물을 선택한다. 구개 증대 보철물을 사용할 경 우, 구개 높이(palatal vault)가 정상보다 낮은 수준으로 재형성되 며 발음 및 연하 시 적은 혀의 움직임이나 부피로도 적절한 구개혀 접촉이 가능하게 된다. 치조설열구(alveololingual sulcus)는 잔존치조제와 혀 사이의
