Microwave Integrated Subassemblies

RF and microwave passive and active components form different subsystems and systems. This chapter considers several examples of microwave integrated subassemblies using passive components and control devices. During the transmit mode, the switch should have sufficient isolation in the receiver port to protect the receiver front-end from damage. This network provides three different modes, transmit mode, receive mode, and self-test mode. The insertion loss of the transmitter and isolation of the receiver depends on the diode resistance. In order to protect the receiver from high power, high transmitter isolation is required, however, in the receiver mode, such high isolation is not necessary.
