A three-phase converter model for harmonic analysis of HVDC systems

An equivalent circuit model is presented to model bridge converters for three-phase HVDC harmonic power flow analysis. The validity and accuracy of the model are verified by comparing simulation results against field test results. The model is interfaced with a multiphase harmonic load flow program to investigate the generation of noncharacteristic harmonics from HVDC links and the flow of HVDC harmonics in a real system. >
