A NEW SEE-THROUGH HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY WITH VARIABLE TRANSPARENCY USING ELECTROCHROMIC MIRROR

This paper describes a see-though display that is designed to solve contrast problems that occur when two images are viewed simultaneously from two LCD-TVs and an electrochromic (EC) mirror. This EC mirror technology is applied to a virtual driving simulator which was developed for experimenting on traffic-related problems.
