Finite Element Analysis of Driving Drum of Belt Conveyor Based on COSMOS/Works

The loading situation of belt-conveyor’s drum was analysed.Linear static analysis is conducted with the finite analysis software COSMOS/Works,and obtained the stress and distortion distribution law of drum under load.The analysis results showed that the driving drum could fully satisfy the strength and stiffness requirement.
