Flow Injection Analysis—Clinical and Pharmaceutical Applications

In recent years more and more strict regulations related to the quality control of different compounds have led to increase demands on the automation of analytical assays carried out in appropriate control laboratories. This article covers a brief description about the fundamentals of flow methodologies as well as their application to pharmaceutical and clinical analysis. Several examples are given and some particular aspects are highlighted, such as the basic components of any flow system as well as their main characteristics.
