Generation of 100-Gbps optical packets with 8-bit RZ pulse patterns using an optical pulse synthesizer

We successfully demonstrated a generation of 100-Gbps optical packets with 8-bit RZ pulse patterns using an optical pulse synthesizer integrating an arrayed waveguide grating, phase modulators and amplitude modulators.
