A 3.3 V ASIC for mixed voltage applications with shut down mode

A 5-V TTL (transistor transistor logic) compatible 260 K circuit ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) family with a 3.3-V nominal operating voltage has been developed using a 0.45 /spl mu/m channel CMOS technology. Modules designed with this family allow mixed-voltage application and are capable of being shut down individually. I/O circuit design and basic cell design are described. Several test vehicles have been built to verify the functionality of the logic family. Library functionality and shutdown capability have been successfully demonstrated with prototype systems.
