Current practice in the assessment and control of measurement uncertainty in bio-analytical chemistry

There is increasing recognition that estimation of measurement uncertainty is valuable, yet very few areas implement a full measurement-uncertainty budget with results. This article examines the advantages and the disadvantages of uncertainty estimation, and illustrates some of its current uses and problems within bio-analytical chemistry.
