Some Studies on SAW Resonators and Multiple-Mode Filters

The results of s everal studies on SAW resonators are described: (1) A theoretical analysis using perturbation theory and wupled-mode theory for characteristics of SAW propagation on periodically perturbed surfaces of p iezoelectric materials. The superposing effect of the piezoelec- tric and mechanical perturbations due to multistrip electrodes is clarified. (2) A performance theory for SAW resonators using grating reflectors.
