Dynamic response to moving concentrated masses of elastic plates on a non-Winkler elastic foundation

Abstract This paper is concerned with the dynamic analysis of an isotropic plate continuously supported by an elastic Pasternak foundation traversed by an arbitrary number of concentrated masses. It is found that the critical speed of the load which brings about a resonance increases as the values of the foundation moduli increase. The deflection of the plate is calculated for several values of the foundation moduli and shown graphically as a function of time. Furthermore, it is shown that the closed from solutions are given by rapidly convering series.
