ATOPIC ECZEMA IN EUROPEAN AND NEGRO WEST INDIAN INFANTS IN LONDON.

THE influx of negro West Indians into Britain during the past few years has been responsible for our particular interest in certain skin diseases among these people. The Belgrave Hospital for Children would appear to be ideally situated for making comparative studies of West Indian and European children since it draws its patients from the Brixton area which has approximately 5000 West Indian inhabitants. During the past year we have made a study of infai\tile eczema in 44 West Indian and 50 European infants under the age of two years.
