Design of Gamification for Anatomy Learning Media

Anatomy is one of the basic concepts of medical science. The process of anatomy learning usually involves the use of cadavers. A cadaver is a preserved human corpse. However, there are limited cadaver numbers during practice. This encourages the need for anatomy learning media based on information technology. Lack of motivation to memorize the names of bone parts is also one of the challenges of most medical school students. Therefore, there is a need for encouragement other than grades to increase student learning motivation. Applying the gamification aspect is believed to increase motivation to do so. It provides an aspect of challenge and reward in working on something. This paper presents the gamification design in the anatomy learning media. We use elemental tetrads for gamification frameworks. Users can test their anatomy comprehension skills through the quiz feature. The implementation of gamification is contained in the use of scores on quizzes and a gradual learning flow of each part of the bone. The application is equipped with a design of components that can attract users to continue to use the application as a medium of their learning.
